Penguins sign former Islanders D Sebastian Aho to two-year contract

The Pittsburgh Penguins signed free agent defenseman Sebastian Aho to a two-year contract with an average annual value of $775,000.

The Penguins announced the deal Tuesday with Aho, 28, who played parts of five NHL seasons with the New York Islanders (2017-18, 2020-24). He played in 58 games in 2023-24, totaling nine points (two goals, seven assists) and a minus-7 rating.
