The musician revealed that she recently underwent surgery for cancer.

She shared that she will take the rest of the year off as a result of the procedure.

The lead singer of Rock made an Instagram post to reveal what she’s been going through and why the tour was canceled.

“Dear friends, I recently underwent an operation to remove something that, as it turns out, was cancerous,” she stated in the post.

“The operation was successful & I’m feeling great but my doctors are now advising me to undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy & I’ve decided to do it.”

The singer went on to explain that she’s receiving lots of advice from medical professionals who tell her she should take time to rest.

“And so many doctors are instructing me to take the rest of the year away from the stage in order to fully recover,” Ann confessed.

“To the ticket buyers, I really do wish we could do these gigs. Please know that I absolutely plan to be back on the stage in 2025.”

She assured her fans that her team is working on plans for her to be performing again soon.

Ann’s post said that the public will be informed of what her team’s plan is regarding how soon the rocker will be back on stage.

Because of the medical advice she received, Heart’s Royal Flush Tour had to be canceled.

The tour was set to begin in Cleveland on July 30 and run through December.

The Barracuda singer thanked Heart fans for their support and also gave them some reassurance.

“This is merely a pause. I’ve much more to sing,” she wrote.

“Love, Ann Wilson. Respectfully, this is the last public statement I’d like to make on the matter.”

Lots of her adoring fans flooded the post with heartfelt comments.

“Wishing you a speedy recovery, greatest singer on Earth,” someone said.

Another person added: “Be good, healthy and back soon!!! You’re the best ever!!!”

“Take all the time you need to heal,” a user chimed in.

Some of the Heart lovers did express feeling disappointed about the canceled shows while still extending sympathy to the musician.

“I’m a little disappointed, but that means nothing to me,” a fan said.

“What means everything to me is that you’re healthy. Concerts and this and that can definitely wait. Take care of yourself. We’re all right behind you no matter what. Sending love and support.”
