Krispy Kreme is giving away FREE doughnuts in 24-hour offer this week – here’s how to get your hands on them

SWEET treat kings Krispy Kreme are giving away free doughnuts to customers in a blockbuster 24-hour offer this week.

The scheme is set to mark the UK’s General Election on July 4 with an Original Glazed doughnut up for grabs to everyone – as long as you remember to say two special words.

They are also offering customers a box of 12 doughnuts for just £2 when you buy any regular priced dozen[/caption]

Looking to sweeten the deal for the millions making one of the most crucial choices in their lifetimes, the dessert specialists are hoping to keep spirits high – regardless of who enters Number 10.

The offer is available nationwide across the UK in all places where people can vote later this week.

In order to redeem the free treat shoppers must ask for an Original Glazed doughnut followed by the words “I voted”.

The simple task will grant you the freebie and ensure everyone’s voices are heard at the General Election.

The offer is valid all day on July 4 – even after polls close.

Krispy Kreme is hoping to encourage Brits to vote as part of the deal in what they say will be a sure fire way to “celebrate dough-mocracy”.

A Krispy Kreme spokesperson said: “With polling stations set to be buzzing and the vote counters preparing to work into the wee hours of the night, a Krispy Kreme doughnut will be a welcome treat as Brits exercise their democratic rights.

“People visiting a Krispy Kreme shop in the UK on election day will be able to enjoy a free Original Glazed doughnut, simply by saying ‘I voted’.”

The offer is only available in store so doesn’t apply to delivery orders on Just Eat, Uber Eats or Deliveroo.

It also doesn’t apply to Krispy Kreme mini-stores in supermarkets, Selfridges, service stations or Center Parcs.

For those doughnut loving groups an additional General Election offer could see you snap up a 12 original doughnut pack for just £2 with any regular priced dozen.

This deal is also available nationwide and also on delivery plus via C&C with the code word “Doughmocracy”.

Both deals only apply to one order per person and all participants must be over 18.

It’s not the first time that Krispy Kreme has run a giveaway like this.

They handed out over 225,000 doughnuts to celebrate England competing in the World Cup.

Plus, the bakery chain once gave away more than 60,000 original glazed doughnuts for free to mark World Kindness Day.

And, earlier this year fans were rushing to scoop up £1 doughnuts – but they needed a hidden password to redeem the deal.

Shoppers with a sweet tooth could grab a dozen of the treats for just £12 online or in-store for the one-day only bargain.

The Krispy Kreme Rewards scheme earns you “Smiles” every time you make a purchase.

Customers earn 10 smiles for every £1 spent.

Once you’ve earned enough you can redeem rewards in Krispy Kreme stores and online.

You can download the bakery chain’s app on any smartphone via Google Play or the Apple App Store to sign up.

With polling time just days away PM Rishi Sunak, Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer and Reform’s Nigel Farage all laid out their promises to Sun readers.

Sunak focused on lowering taxes for a “secure future”, as rival Starmer vowed to change a Britain that “isn’t working for working people”.

Meanwhile Farage blasted both sides “of the same establishment coin” and called for voters who want to “Stop the Boats and freeze immigration” to join his party.
