Trump failed to beat Biden’s fundraising in June: report

Despite a debate performance that sent Democratic officials into a frenzy last week, President Joe Biden exceeded ex-President Donald Trump's fundraising haul for the month of June, according to Politico.

Per Politico, the MAGA hopeful failed to surpass Biden's cash intake "for the first time in months."

Though the former president's team is happy with the $112 million Trump secured last month, the news outlet reports June is still "the first month since March" Biden beat Trump's cash haul.

Biden's campaign pulled in $127 million, according to the report.

Axios reported earlier this week that "the haul marked an increase over the $85 million the campaign raised into its various accounts in May, but was less than the $141 million Trump brought in" in May.

"This election will be close and the stakes couldn't be higher — which is why today's fundraising haul matters so much," Biden-Harris campaign manager Julie Chávez Rodríguez told Axios.

"It will ensure that we reach and mobilize the voters who will decide this election every single day," Rodríguez emphasized.

Axios also notes that since Biden's campaign launch, "the Biden campaign says it has raised more than $558 million, which it says is more than any other Democratic candidate at this stage of the cycle."
