Cohoes appoints new city court judge

COHOES, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- Cohoes Mayor Bill Keeler has selected Brett Knowles as the next city judge, who is expected to start Thursday, July 25. Knowles has previously served as Assistant Counsel for the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services.

Knowles has over 20 years of legal experience and served as an Assistant District Attorney in Albany County. During his time there, he handled criminal cases that honed his legal analysis and courtroom advocacy skills.

Keeler said Knowles has a deep respect for the law, a solid commitment to fairness and justice, and a strong dedication to public service. "His comprehensive experience positions him to contribute effectively to the judiciary, ensuring continued safety, fairness, and justice for our community," Keeler said.
