ISTANBUL – Turkish hotel group Kaya Tourism Group has acquired the historic Grade II-listed Great Northern Hotel in King’s Cross.

The acquisition of the 5-star, 88-bedroom Great Northern Hotel is Kaya Tourism Group’s first London property and marks the beginning of the company’s expansion into the United Kingdom and the wider European market.

Kaya Tourism Group ispart of Kaya Holding, which owns and operates 13 hotels in Turkey and Northern Cyprus across its two brands, Kaya Palazzo Hotels & Resorts and Kaya Hotels & Resorts.

Great Northern Hotel

Through the acquisition, Kaya Tourism Group are looking to strengthen the hotel’s existing F&B offerings to provide comprehensive service to King’s Cross, St Pancras passengers and those living in the surrounding area.

Burak Kaya, Chairman of the Board at Kaya Holding stated: “We are delighted to have made our first international hotel investment in London. Great Northern Hotel is located in one of the capital’s most successful regeneration developments and is right next to St. Pancras station, the only railway connection from the UK to Europe.
