'No one is being Trumpy here': MSNBC's Mika snaps at ex-Dem lawmaker over Biden demand

On Wednesday morning's edition of MSNBC's "Morning Joe," co-host Mika Brzezinski snapped at former Rep. Tim Ryan (D-OH) for his panicky demand that President Joe Biden step aside immediately so that Vice President Kamala Harris can be the Democratic nominee for president in November.

Brought on to defend his editorial published in Newsweek on Tuesday, Ryan, who left his House seat to run for the Senate in 2022 only to lose to Republican Sen J.D. Vance, stated his case — based upon Biden's fumbled debate appearance last week — under questioning from "Morning Joe" co-host Willie Geist

However when he stated, "That's why people are running around with their heads in their hands. You're asking them to not believe what they saw, that their eyes are lying to them. I just don't think that's helpful," Brzezinski exclaimed, "Okay. who's doing that?"

As Ryan attempted to continue by saying, "We have to be decisive," the MSNBC host interrupted again.

"Tim, I don't understand who's doing that," she lectured. "Everyone says it was a terrible night, I mean, it was a horrible, terrible, disappointing night. No one is saying ... no one's being Trumpy here, okay?"

"Let's put that aside, although that's really hard because the alternative in this race, Donald Trump, we could talk for three hours about the destruction to this country, the retribution ... the alternative is frightening and the immunity ruling and everything that comes, the criminality of it all is unbelievable."

"So if Joe Biden can recover from this, and I'm just suggesting that everybody wait a week and see what happens," she added.
