‘Tequila Rose girls, get to Aldi’ shoppers yell after spotting a dupe that’s half the price & grab FIVE bottles at once
WHAT’S a boozy brunch date or a dinner gathering with your girls without Tequila Rose?
Well, bargain-hunting shoppers are rejoicing after discovering a purse-friendly alternative of the cult favourite bevvy – and it’s almost half the price.
According to delighted Aldi fans, the popular discount supermarket is offering a dupe of Tequila Rose – and it’s been such a hit, some customers are bagging several bottles at once.
One shopper, Libbie May Fitzpatrick, took to TikTok to share the fabulous discovery, which has hit the store shelves just in time for summer and boozy BBQs.
”Tequila Rose girlies, get to Aldi,” she said in her video, urging other fans of the beverage to not sleep on the bargain deal.
Unlike the shopper-loved version, which you can bag at Waitrose and other supermarkets for £14, Aldi’s very own dupe is currently on offer for a more affordable £7.99.
The product, Strawberry Cream Tequila, typically goes for a tenner – so if you want to slash the bills, make sure to head the nearest branch as soon as possible, as we reckon the drink will sell out pretty quickly.
The ready-to-drink delight boasts a delicious blend of sweet strawberry cream flavour with the supermarket’s enticingly rich Loquito tequila – the perfect combination for getting the party started at a Hen Do, or any summer-time celebrations.
Full of flavour and sweet on the palate, the returning Loquito Strawberry Cream Tequila can be enjoyed neat, over ice – or as part of a deliciously creamy cocktail.
Strawberry & Raspberry Tequila Martini
Ingredients:
- 70ml Loquito Strawberry Cream Tequila
- 25ml Saint Gérmont Vanilla Vodka
- 20ml summer fruits juice
- 25g fresh raspberries
- 25g fresh strawberries
- Ice cubes
- Raspberries and orange rind to decorate.
Method:
- Mash the strawberries and raspberries with the summer fruits juice and put the pulp through a strainer (remember to discard seeds). Put the puree to one side.
- Put the Loquito Strawberry Cream Tequila and Saint Gérmont Vanilla Vodka in a cocktail shaker with some ice and shake well.
- Strain into a coupe glass then swirl over the puree and serve decorated with some raspberries and orange rind.
According to some customers who’ve already tried the bevvy, Aldi’s cheaper version taste the same – and they’ve dubbed the drink ”a must”.
Hundreds of social media users flocked to comments where they shared their thoughts, as well as tagged their pals to let them know about the fantastic offer.
”Gonna get 5 bottles for farmyard,” one TikTok user told a friend about their massive haul.

WHEN it comes to shopping at Aldi, the best time to do so depends on what you want to buy.
For reduced items – when shops open
Red sticker items are rare at Aldi’s 830 UK stores, but the supermarket says that none of its food goes to waste so there are some to be found – if you’re quick.
A spokesman for the supermarket said: “All items are reduced to 50 per cent of the recommend sales price before stores open on their best before or use by dates.”
That means you have the best chance of finding reduced food items if you go into stores as soon as it opens.
Opening times vary by shop but a majority open from 7am or 8am. You can find your nearest store’s times by using the supermarket’s online shop finder tool.
For Specialbuys – Thursdays and Sundays
Specialbuys are Aldi’s weekly collection of items that it doesn’t normally sell, which can range from pizza ovens to power tools.
New stock comes into stores every Thursday and Sunday, so naturally, these are the best days to visit for the best one-off special deals.
For an even better chance of bagging the best items, head there for your local store’s opening time.
You don’t have to head into stores to bag a Specialbuy, though.
They also go on sale online, usually at midnight on Thursday and Sunday, and you can pre-order them up to a week in advance.
As long as you spend at least £25, you’ll get the items delivered for free.
Remember: once they’re gone, they’re gone, so if there’s something you really want, visit as early as possible
”Running, not walking there,” someone else was eager to get their hands on the drink.
”Sold out in all my area,” a third hadn’t had any luck of securing the goods.
But whilst many were raving over the purse-friendly party essential, there were also a few negative reviews of people complaining about the flavour.
”It’s far too sweet not like tequila rose,” one shopper warned.
