BGT winner Sydnie Christmas still working at her local gym ahead of UK tour
SHE is £250,000 richer after winning Britain’s Got Talent and is about to embark on her debut nationwide tour.
But Sydnie Christmas still has one pressing matter at the top of her to-do list before she sets off – quitting her day job.
BGT winner Sydnie Christmas is still working at her local gym ahead of her upcoming UK tour[/caption] Sydnie will kick off her My Way tour in Gateshead on October 5[/caption]In an exclusive chat, she told me: “I did my audition and went back to work in the gym.
“Funnily enough, I am still on the rota. I need to go in for a meeting and say I definitely can’t work now.”
I doubt Sydnie, who has new single Starlight Express and an album coming soon, will ever be back, given she has the world at her feet now thanks to her success on the talent show.
She will kick off her My Way tour in Gateshead on October 5, before playing 14 more UK dates that month including Nottingham, Sheffield, London and Liverpool.
Sydnie is so refreshingly down to earth, she admits she has no idea what a rider is – the nickname for the dressing room requests artists put in for gigs – and has moved back in with her parents in Kent to save money on rent.
She added: “When I got told about the tour, I thought I was just going to be someone’s warm-up.
“When they told me it was my tour, I was like, ‘Oh my God’.”
With a management team in place ready to steer her career, I asked if BGT boss Simon Cowell gave her any advice.
“He told me to choose my own path and to take control,” Sydnie said with a smile.
Tickets for Sydnie’s My Way tour go on sale on Friday, July 12.

JAX JONES has teamed up with Joel Corry and Jason Derulo for a summer smash.
The unlikely trio have released new track Tonight (D.I.Y.A) as Jax starts globe-trotting for a series of major shows.
Jax said: “This track is all about those electrifying summer nights. We’ve packed it with high energy and good vibes.” Joel and Jax previously teamed up in 2021 hit Out Out.
Joel added: “I’ve been in the studio lots, so I’m buzzing we finally have a release together.”
DEBUT SO DREAMY FOR JADE
Jade Thirlwall has confirmed her solo debut will be out on July 19[/caption]LONDONER Kamille has lent her backing to Jade Thirlwall‘s solo career after the Little Mix star, confirmed her debut single, Angel Of My Dreams, will be out on July 19.
The pair are long-time collaborators, with Kamille helping to write the group’s hits including Black Magic and Shout Out To My Ex.
In an exclusive chat at an F1 x Lenovo event, Kamille said: “Oh, you are not ready for the new Jade music.
“It’s very dreamy, airy. No one is going to expect this.
“I’ve only heard a few songs and it’s worth the wait.”
Kamille isn’t the first to hype up the tracks, with loads of my pals in the music biz telling me to expect big things, so I’m excited to hear what Jade has to offer.
KELLY: I REGRET AXEING MUSIC
KELLY Osbourne has revealed she still kicks herself for quitting music.
The nepo baby had a short-lived stint in the industry between 2002 and 2005.
Her collaboration Changes with her Black Sabbath rocker father Ozzy made No1 in 2003 but her two studio albums were commercial flops.
Kelly reckons she was led astray before she could properly hit the big time.
Quizzed on whether she has thought of returning to singing, Kelly said: “I’ve definitely thought about it and what life would have been like if I hadn’t stopped.
“It’s definitely a regret. Will I do anything about that regret? I don’t know.”
Asked on The Osbournes podcast why she quit, she added: “I was doing so much TV, I was doing so much touring and publicity and so many interviews and I just wanted to go out and have fun.
“I didn’t want it to be all work and no play and I didn’t know how to have any balance. It was bad.”
TAYLOR STUNT AN ERA ACHE
Travis Kelce was terrified of dropping Taylor Swift during his surprise appearance at the Eras Tour[/caption]TRAVIS KELCE says he was terrified of dropping his girlfriend Taylor Swift when he carried her across the stage during his surprise appearance at one of her Eras Tour shows at London’s Wembley Stadium last month.
On his New Heights podcast, Travis said: “[I kept telling myself], ‘Do not drop the baby. Hold on to the baby.’”
Revealing the stunt was his idea, he said: “I was like, ‘How fun would it be if I rolled out on one of the bikes during the 1989 era?’
“She started laughing and was like, ‘Would you seriously be up for doing something like that?’
“I was like, ‘What!? I would love to do that. I’ve seen the show enough. Might as well put me to work here.’ ”
Travis teased: “Who knows, it might not be the last time.”
JOVI JOY AS JESSE WEDS TOO
JON BON JOVI’s bank balance has taken a hammering, after two of his sons married within weeks of each other.
After his lad Jake married Millie Bobby Brown in a top-secret ceremony in May, I can reveal that last month, his son Jesse celebrated his marriage to Jesse Light at the swanky Soho Farmhouse in Oxfordshire.
A source said: “The family took over Soho Farmhouse. Millie and Jake were both there, along with stars like Dakota Fanning. Jesse and Jesse eloped to Las Vegas in May, but hired out Soho Farmhouse for their reception. They had a pool party and a massive tennis tournament between all the guests.”
Millie shared a snap from the bash online yesterday and said of Jake: “My forever wedding date.”
