My ‘rough’ shaving tip banished my strawberry legs & got me silky smooth – follow my rule like your life depends on it
IF you’re up for a rough shaving challenge, you can say sayonara to strawberry legs this summer.
A Redditor thinks her trick is worth following for the silky-smooth results.
A fan of smooth and strawberry-free legs has shared her tip for getting summer-ready legs – just get ready to use tough love (stock image)[/caption]Redditor Raspberrymojito1 is willing to do anything to get rid of the redness on her legs.
Just be warned, it’s not for the faint of heart.
“Get a washcloth, a little piece of towel that’s rough, and you’re going to scrub it like your life depends on it with any body soap for at least a minute or so,” she said.
“Then use shaving cream or hair conditioner to shave and since I have been doing this my strawberry legs are gone, please give it a try!” she continued.
This shaving sergeant wants to make extra sure you are following her “rough” rules.
“Basically you have to really exfoliate the skin before you shave it and it will be silky smooth I promise!” she said.
If you want some help with this shaving technique, you can invest in a Terra Distribution Extra Rough Exfoliating Washcloth which is available on Amazon for $13.95.
The washcloth is described as featuring a “super hard” texture.
Made up of strong fibers, you’ll be able to scrub as hard as you can handle.
It is also recommended for an extra thorough wash after exercising.
The cloth creates extra lather – perfect for your hair conditioner or shaving cream.
Others shared their own life-changing shaving tips.
“I wait a few days in between shaves. Even though the hair feels semi-long – gross, I know,” said one user.
“I use exfoliating gloves with the Soft Soap Luminous Oils Body Wash – so cheap and is amazing. I’ve tried a million different high-end and drugstore body washes and I always come back to this one.
“Then I take a fresh razor and use this Moroccan rose shaving oil to shave with. This makes my skin super smooth! Use moisturizer and a body oil when I get out of the bath.”

Some Redditors also weighed in on which were the best types of razors to use.
“Men’s razors! I stole one of my husband’s Mach5 Gillette razors a few years ago and just replace the head every month and I will never go back to a women’s razor ever again!” said one user.
“Me too! Now I get the big packs at Costco and [they last] us a year or more,” another chimed in.
“Same. Women’s razors are like more expensive toy razors. They’re like Fisher price razors lol,” a Redditor commented.
