Troy man arrested on drug, gun charges

TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Troy Police reported the arrest of a Troy man on drug and gun-related charges. Nashier Clayton, 26, was arrested on Tuesday.

Charges

• Second-degree criminal possession of a weapon
• Criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell
• Criminal possession of a narcotic drug
• Criminal possession of a controlled substance

Troy Police Department says that officers were conducting a search warrant when they found Clayton in a car nearby. Clayton allegedly had two illegal handguns as well as cocaine, heroin, and fentanyl.

Clayton was arraigned in Troy City Court and placed in Rensselaer County Jail.
