Delhi: The much-awaited Team India’s arrival happened on Thursday morning in Delhi. There was a massive fanfare outside the Indira Gandhi International airport. Virat Kohli was the first one to come out of Terminal 3. There was a rousing reception when fans got to see Kohli and then the rest of the team made their way out to cheers and chants of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’. Then the team took a bus and started their journey towards the hotel. Fans followed them and when they got off the bus at the ITC Maurya hotel, there were arrangements made for the world champions.

The Air India special charter flight AIC24WC took off from Barbados around 4:50am on Wednesday and arrived in Delhi around 6am (IST) today.
The Indian team, players’ families, some board officials are all aboard the flight.
The Men in Blue secured the crown, marking India’s fourth overall World Cup, with a thrilling seven-run victory over South Africa in the final on June 29.
Sadly, the team had to extend their stay and were unable to return home due to a shutdown caused by Hurricane Beryl.
The Rohit Sharma and team is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his official residence today.
After meeting PM Modi, the T20 World Cup 2024 champs will fly to Mumbai and take part in the open bus victory parade. The parade will be followed by a felicitation ceremony at the Wankhede Stadium.
