Chet Hanks Condemns Hate Groups Adopting His 'White Boy Summer' Phrase

Chet Hanks is slamming the bigots and hate groups that are adopting his “White Boy Summer” phrase.

Back in 2021, the 33-year-old actor, who is the son of Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, coined the phrase “White Boy Summer” in response to Megan Thee Stallion‘s “Hot Girl Summer.” At the time, Chet said the phrase was intended to be fun and playful where he offered advice on fashion and behavior to white men.

However, the New York Times shared a new report on Tuesday (July 2) that many white supremacists and other hate groups are now using the phrase to recruit new followers, organize protests, and encourage violence.

Following the new report, Chet slammed the hate groups and shared what his intentions were when he first started using “White Boy Summer.”

He added, “I hope that we all can spread love to each other and treat each other with kindness and dignity.”

If you missed it, Chet hooked up with this reality star while they filmed the new season of MTV’s The Surreal Life: Villa of Secrets.
