The portal has changed everything

We all know the transfer portal changed everything but here’s a number you might not be aware of: the ACC has 84 transfers coming in this year. That’s totally nuts. Great for the players but for the fans, keeping up with that much change is dizzying.

To be more accurate, a number of those transfers are not coming into the ACC but changing ACC teams. That, too, takes some getting used to.

On the other hand, some schools have really wild turnover, like ACC newcomer Cal, which brings in nine transfers, or Louisville, which brings in 10. Who knows what they have or how the chemistry will work?

It’s a really long list obviously but there are some names, aside from Duke transfers in and out, that are really intriguing: how will the various Louisville refugees work out at their new schools? Can Chad Venning be a major impact player for BC? How will Andrej Stojakovic do flipping across the bay from Stanford to Cal? What about Jaeden Zackery as a Clemson Tiger?

The intrigue is crazy. Who knows?
