Separated from mother, 2-year-old rhino calf rescued from flood in Assam's Kaziranga national park

A 2-year-old female rhino calf stranded in Kaziranga National Park's floodwaters was rescued by Assam forest frontline and Mobile Veterinary Service (MVS) teams. Separated from its mother, the calf was transported to the Centre for Wildlife Rehabilitation and Conservation (CWRC) and is now under 24/7 veterinary care. The calf is active and receiving the necessary care for a hopeful return to the wild.
