James Davison Hunter on the Cultural Roots of America's Political Crisis (REVIEW ESSAY)
James Davison Hunter (born in 1955; Ph.D. in sociology, Rutgers University, 1955 -- where Peter L. Berger was his mentor) of the University of Virginia is the author of the new 2024 500-page book Democracy and Solidarity: On the Cultural Roots of America's Political Crisis (Yale University Press). However, when it comes to cultural analysis, I still prefer Walter J. Ong's work.
