Police: Teen arrested following stabbing incident in Fort Edward

FORT EDWARD, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Washington County Sheriff's Office has reported the arrest of a juvenile. The 16-year-old boy was arrested following a stabbing incident on Broadway in Fort Edward.

Charges

• First-degree assault
• Third-degree criminal possession of a weapon
• Second-degree menacing

The juvenile's name will not be released due to his age. It is alleged that he stabbed another 16-year-old who is said by police to have suffered multiple stab wounds and a punctured lung.

The victim is in stable condition. The suspect was arraigned in Washington County Youth Part Court and released to his parents while being monitored by Washington County Probation and Alternative Sentencing.
