Sister Boniface Mysteries (9pm Drama)

Sister Boniface Mysteries - Series 3 - Episode 5 - How to Murder a Tune .Picture shows: (L-R) Frances Mayli Mccann as Sylvia Melbury and Michael Spicer as Donald Merriweather
This week Sister Boniface investigates a very musical murder.

Having a good singing voice isn’t a prerequisite for becoming a nun, which means an assault on viewers’ eardrums in the latest instalment of this gentle murder-of-the-week drama.

The choir at St. Vincent’s have been asked to perform on Glory Be, a Songs Of Praise-type worship show, and their catawailing is so terrible that Mother Adrian is literally struck to the floor with a violent migraine!

But the screeching is drowned out by the death of the show’s hateful Musical Director Donald Merriweather (Michael Spicer) in the middle of playing a song on the organ.

Sister Boniface concludes he’s been poisoned by cyanide lacing his sheet music, and a vision of a bee (or a man dressed as a bee!) helps her dramatically shorten the long list of suspects…

In this record-breaking special, Nikki is at her best as she hilariously deep-dives into a whole host of topics, from the harsh realities of aging to her sexual fantasies, the real reason why she doesn’t want kids and so much more.

Motorway: Hell on the highway (8pm C5)

PLANKS OF WOOD FLYING OFF TRUCK
Terrifying footage of real life drama on the motoway.

While accidents on the road are not always the driver’s fault, in this episode the panel of experts witness some baffling bad decisions, like the one made by a man who pulled over in the overtaking lane of the M1 to take a comfort break!

Of course, nature can also have a hand in motoring mishaps,  including the torrential rain that caused a motorcyclist to aquaplane uncontrollably as though he was riding a waterslide and the driver in Eastern Europe whose car slips out of control and somersaults towards a forest.

This series certainly serves as a warning for all motorists!

The Last Leg Election Special (10pm C4)

Alex Brooker, Adam Hills And Josh Widdicombe on the new set of The Last Leg
Who will get your vote for funniest comedian on The Last Leg: Election Special?

There’ll either be celebrations or commiserations at party HQs today, as results come in following polling day.

And tonight the place to be is surely The Last Leg studio, where Adam, Josh and Alex will be joined by comedians, celebrities and politicians, to analyse results and make sense of the chaos.

But is it OK to laugh at seeing major players toppled from their parliamentary seats? Just try and stop them!
