I fell in love with some designer garden chairs at £223 EACH so I used a clever hack to snap up dupes for just £19 a pop

A WOMAN has been praised after sharing the clever hack that saved her an incredible £1,201 on garden chairs.

The mum-of-two has been sharing tips and tricks on her social media pages as she renovates her cottage home.

A woman has explained how she fell in love with these designer chairs, for £223 each, on the John Lewis website

So she did a Google image search and found these dupes on a catering company’s website

She managed to get six chairs for under £137, instead of £1,201

And the chairs look virtually exactly the same

And her latest hack left people stunned, as she showed how it literally saved her thousands of pounds when she was hunting for the perfect dining chairs for her garden.

In a TikTok video, she explained that she’d fallen in love with some geometric Philippe Starck black ones.

But they were out of her budget, at a pricey £223 each.

So she decided to do a Google image search to “try and find something similar”, and it came up with a company called Adexa’s website.

“It’s a catering equipment company but they do all sorts of garden furniture and I managed to get six copies of these chairs for £137 in total,” she said.

Showing the chairs against the table, she added: “They look incredible.

“They feel incredible.

“They’re really comfy and they look exactly the same as the ones I wanted but at a fraction of the price!

“I love them.”

“Google image search is my best friend when I’m on a budget!” she captioned the video.

“My chairs are from Adexa, love them,” one person commented on the video.

“Such a fab website!! I hadn’t heard of it before these!” the woman replied.

“What a bargain!!! that Google image search is amazing!” another added.

“Looks exactly the same – I think they are the same!” a third wrote.

“The way I just ran there and can’t find them,” someone else said.

July gardening jobs

The Sun's Gardening Editor Veronica Lorraine, has shared the tasks you need to tackle this July in your garden.

1. Prune Wisteria

You should only prune back Wisteria twice a year – and July – or mid summer – is one of those times.  After flowering cut back long side shoots to around seven buds.five or six leaves.

2. Pinch out tomatoes

Your tomatoes should be really picking up – so pinch out all the side shoots without flowers – and remove all the leaves that are shading the tomatoes – this will give them maximum light and energy.

3. Keep weeding

Hand weeding and hoeing the surface of the soil will keep your weeds under check.

4. Feed Dahlias

To keep Dahlias flowering until Autumn, you must keep feeding them weekly with a liquid fertliser high in potassium – which encourages blooms.

5. Keep deadheading plants

Keep up with deadheading your bedding plants and perennials – so they keep coming back for the season. With roses make sure you’re deadheading back to a set of five leaves, giving you the best chance of them flowering again.

6. Check on your pond

If you’re lucky enough to have a pond – make sure it’s clear of algae, which can really bloom when the sun beats down.

7. Feed your lawn

Whether that’s with a liquid feed or granules. If you’ve chosen granules try to get them down before the rain comes, so they soak into the soil.

8. Tend to strawberry plants

Cut the leaves off strawberry plants after you’ve picked them – leaving the crown untouched – which should help with next years fruit.

9. Sow extra seeds

July weather is a great time to sow seeds as the warm soil and sunshine is great for germination. Try carrots, winter broccoli and other brassicas.

10. Move young plants into soil

Get any young plants you’ve got left in the greenhouse – like courgettes – into the soil.

“I spoke to them earlier and they said they hopefully should get them back in perhaps in 6-8 weeks so worth keeping an eye out!” she responded.

“I brought 4 for £50 3 years ago!” another wrote.

“They hold up so well outside – haven’t lost their colour and still look so good.”
