Scattered Rain Tempers the Extreme Heat for Acadiana

Scattered showers and storms will be back in Acadiana during your Friday afternoon and evening hours. Rain chances increase to 50%, which is a little better compared to the coverage from the 4th of July. Fortunately, the additional clouds and rainfall should hold the extreme heat back as highs near 93°. Muggy conditions will push the heat index over 100°.
