Police investigating after person hit, killed by car in SW Oklahoma City

Correction: This collision was originally reported as a hit-and-run, but upon further investigation, it was learned the driver stayed on scene following the crash.

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - Oklahoma City Police say they are investigating after a person was hit and killed by a car Friday morning.

According to the Oklahoma City Police Department, the incident happened near SW 29th St. and Virginia Ave.

Officials say it appears someone in a wheelchair was struck and killed by a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle stayed on scene.
