According to Tottenham insider Paul O’Keefe, Ange Postecoglou wants a couple of signings to arrive through the door within the next two to three weeks.
Postecoglou wants early Tottenham signings
We are now on the eve of pre-season, with some players expected to report to Hotspur Way for training on July 6 (Football.London).
The club pulled off a major coup earlier this week, with Archie Gray becoming the first big addition of the summer transfer window, with the young midfielder arriving on a £40m deal from Leeds United (The Guardian).
However, Spurs are far from done in the transfer window just yet, with the club needing reinforcements in a number of areas if they are to have legitimate aspirations of competing with the best sides in the division.
Tottenham pre-season is getting closer
According to O’Keefe, Postecoglou has made it clear to the club’s hierarchy that he wants signings to be completed swiftly so that the newcomers can have a pre-season with the squad.
The Spurs insider says that the Australian has asked for a couple of signings to be made within the next few weeks.
O’Keefe reveals that Postecoglou will link up with his coaching staff today (July 5) before the players start reporting for pre-season over the weekend.

One would expect Tottenham’s transfer pursuits to accelerate once the Euros and Copa America come to an end.
Many of the club’s rumoured targets, including Eberechi Eze, Ivan Toney, Youssouf Fofana, Jonathan David and Conor Gallagher, are currently playing for their national sides.
