Road opens after multi-vehicle crash on I-70
Update 6 p.m.: Topeka police say all I-70 eastbound lanes are open, and traffic conditions have returned to normal.
TOPEKA (KSNT) - A multi-vehicle crash has reduced rush hour traffic on I-70 to one lane.
Just before 4 p.m. Friday, July 5, the Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP) and the Topeka Police Department (TPD) responded to an injury crash involving multiple vehicles on I-70 near Southeast 10th Avenue.
KHP troopers on scene are conducting an investigation, while Topeka police officers are assisting with traffic control. Traffic has been reduced to one lane on eastbound I-70 approaching Southeast 10th Avenue.
Officers encouraged drivers to avoid the area while the investigation is ongoing.
