KU's Voegele gets Freshman All-American honors

LAWRENCE, KS. (KSNT) - For the first time in program history, D1Baseball has named a Jayhawk a Freshman First Team All-American.

Kansas pitcher Dom Voegele got the nod on Friday from the collegiate media outlet.

Voegele was named the Big 12 Freshman of the Year in May, the second-straight season a Jayhawk has received the title after infielder Kodey Shojinaga's co-honor in 2023.

In 15 starts in 2024, Voegele finished with a 7-2 record and 3.89 ERA with 80 strikeouts and allowing a .235 batting average.
