NY Gremlins Defeat Saskatoon Angels in Pitcher’s Duel at International Softball Super Series
Gremlins Pablo Migliavacca Strikes out 12, Surrenders Just 2 Hits

Both teams were strong in the circle on Friday, but NY Gremlins defeated Saskatoon Angels 24 18O 2-1. Pablo Migliavacca started the game for NY Gremlins and recorded 21 outs. NY Gremlins didn’t take the lead until later in the game.
The game was tied at one in the top of the seventh when Blake Hunter singled, scoring one run. Saskatoon Angels 24 18O got on the board in the third inning after Devon McCullogh singled, scoring one run. Blaine Milheim singled, which helped NY Gremlins tie the game at one in the top of the fifth. Migliavacca earned the win for NY Gremlins. He gave up two hits and one run (zero earned) over seven innings, striking out 12 and walking one.
McCullogh took the loss for Saskatoon Angels 24 18O. The reliever went two and two-thirds innings, giving up one run (zero earned) on three hits, striking out six and walking three. Zach Pierce led things off in the circle for Saskatoon Angels 24 18O. The starting pitcher allowed one hit and one run over four and one-third innings, striking out five and walking four.
Hunter, Nick Mullins, Milheim, and Cam Schiller each collected one hit for NY Gremlins. Hunter and Milheim each drove in one run for NY Gremlins. Lucio Retamar paced NY Gremlins with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, piling up seven walks for the game. McCullogh and Darren McCullough each collected one hit for Saskatoon Angels 24 18O. McCullogh led Saskatoon Angels 24 18O with one run batted in. He went 1-for-3 on the day. Saskatoon Angels 24 18O were sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Derek Arsenie had the most chances in the field with 12. NY Gremlins will travel to HILL UNITED CHIEFS for their next game on Friday.
