Man Utd pre-season schedule: First friendly in mid-July, 3 games in USA plus Community Shield date

Clubs in the English top-flight are making plans for the next season by arranging several Premier League pre-season friendlies across the globe.

Manchester United endured an underwhelming 2023-24 campaign as they finished eighth in the league.

However, the focus now turns to their pre-season fixtures as they make preparations for a comeback in 2024-25.

United confirmed in February they will be returning to the United States this summer but their opening two friendlies are scheduled in Europe.

They will begin their pre-season by playing against Rosenborg on July 15 at the Lerkendal Stadion.

Erik ten Hag’s side will then face Rangers on July 20 at Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh before flying to the United States for three exciting fixtures.

The Red Devils will renew their fierce rivalry with Arsenal in their first game in America at the SoFi Stadium on July 28.

La Liga outfit Real Betis are scheduled to meet them on August 1 at the Snapdragon Stadium followed by a blockbuster clash with Liverpool three days later in South Carolina at the Brice Stadium.

The Premier League doesn’t start until August 17 and Manchester United will also play Manchester City in the FA Community Shield on 10th.

The two Manchester rivals met each other in the previous two FA Cup finals but it was Erik ten Hag who outsmarted Pep Guardiola in May to keep his job at Old Trafford.
