Desperate Housewives and Twin Peaks legend looks unrecognisable as he dances in the street to Charli XCX
A DESPERATE Housewives legend was unrecognisable as he was spotted dancing down the street.
The actor was wearing workout clothes and huge headphones as he lip-synced to a Charli XCX and Lorde collaboration.
Kyle MacLachlan, who also starred in Twin Peaks, has been entertaining fans on TikTok and Instagram with tongue-in-cheek videos.
He has been recreating Gen Z trends, which he admits his son deemed “cringeworthy”.
In his latest video, which has already started doing the rounds, he mimed along to ‘The girl, so confusing version with Lorde’.
He threw some dance moves in, which delighted fans on X.
“Sometimes you just have to dance it out. Kyle gets it,” one wrote.
“‘Yes Kyle MacLachlan’ we all say in unison,” said another.
“I f****** love this man,” said a third.
This comes after Kyle mimicked one of Lorde’s recent Instagram posts.
Lorde, whose real name is Ella Marija Lani Yellich-O’Connor, hasn’t released new music since 2021.
She shared a photo of her wearing Apple AirPod Max headphones, resting her head in her hand.
In another she was pictured sat on the floor, still with the headphones on.
“Listening to myself,” she captioned the photos.
Kyle’s team decided to cheekily re-create Lorde’s photos to celebrate the launch of his new podcast “Varnamtown”.
“Other than an appreciation, no, we don’t know each other at all,” he said at the time.
“We just re-created these images — which I love doing. I had the striped shirt — I didn’t have the pajamas, but I had the striped shirt, so that was good, and getting the right angles.”
The photos caught Lorde’s attention and she replied: “I am………. speechless Kyle!”
She also added the photo to her story with the caption “O KAY Kyle !!”
“Then it just kind of exploded in a way that I didn’t expect,” he said in January.
“She responded, and she was very funny and gracious. I think she got that it was a fun thing that was not meant to mock or take the p*** out of it at all.
“It was kind of an … appreciation post? Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.”
