Inside Strictly star Ellie Taylor’s ‘nightmare’ Centre Parcs trip as she’s forced to evacuate pool and ambushed by fan
STRICTLY star Ellie Taylor has endured a ‘nightmare’ trip to Centre Parcs, having been forced to evacuate a pool before being ambushed by a fan.
Ellie, 40, has been married to CNN freelance reporter Phil Black since 2015, and together they share daughter Valentina, six, as well as a seven-month-old son.
Making the most of the sunny weather, the clan set off on a trip to Centre Parks this week, splashing out £3,500.
And while the comedian seemed to be having a great time in her Instagram posts initially, things appeared to go south as time went on.
Taking to her Story with a snap of her kids, Ellie jokingly wrote: “Sure, fire fighters are courageous, but please consider the bravery of a post partum woman who’s been on Strictly being recognised while queuing for the lazy river.
“Not all heroes wear capes. Sometimes they were sensible swimming costumes and are arguing with a five year old.”
In another, she added: “A great time to was had by all, especially when the wave pool was evacuated ‘cos someone pooped in it.
“We all gathered round and watched a life guard waded in with a big net to fish out the nuggets.
“It was one of our favourite activities of the holiday, and crucially for centre parcs, the only free one.”
Ellie went into early labour back in November – forcing her to pull out of her scheduled Royal Variety Performance gig.
At the time, she shared a snap of herself all glammed up – before revealing that her baby had other plans.
She wrote: “This is the fabulous outfit I was meant to be wearing tonight while doing stand-up at the Royal Variety Performance in front of 4,000 people, including Prince and Princess of Wales.
“Swipe to see the actual outfit I’ll be wearing tonight due to the surprise early arrival of my own little HRH…”
Ellie then shared another sweet snap, this time of her in hospital cradling her baby son.
The post continued: “Gutted to miss out but also very very happy to be wearing giant mesh knickers and saying “But his skin is just so SOFT!” ten times an hour.
“Mother and baby doing well because mummy has access to morphine and baby has access to boobies.
“Wishing the rest of the performers the best night for a fantastic cause! Wishing me 12 hours sleep and a massive Pina Colada (not with the morphine, don’t worry…)”
In September, Ellie revealed the happy news that she was pregnant with her second child.
The star has appeared in numerous comedy panel shows and TV series’ over the years and in 2021, she hit international stardom on the hit show Ted Lasso, when she played Flo “Sassy” Collins – Ted’s on/off love interest.
Ellie took over as co-host on Bake Off: The Professionals, replacing Stacey Solomon who presented the last series.
She also appeared on Strictly Come Dancing in 2022, and had 10 fabulous weeks on the dance floor alongside pro partner Johannes Radebe.
