AN iconic supercar that was the fastest in the world and fetched £16m at auction is now up for sale.
For many the McLaren F1 is the ultimate 90s supercar, capable of zero to 60 in 3.2 seconds. It can do 240.1 mph on the race track.
The classic Creighton Brown McLaren F1 motor only comes with 254.7 miles miles on the clock, making it a truly exceptional find for any collector.
The stunning motor comes with a set of tailored luggage, tool chest, tool roll and TAG Heuer 6000 watch.
This beautiful model was launched in 1992 and created by Formula One racing car designer Gordon Murray.
He originally contacted former McLaren owner Ron Dennis with the idea of building a road car that would deliver best-in-class looks, performance, and, most importantly, a great driving experience.
The car covered just 242 miles between 1995 and 2021, and has been driven just a handful of miles since.
The listing read: “This model, besides being the only one to wear Creighton Brown, is also the closest you can come to buying a brand-new example.
“This F1 has just over 240 miles on the odometer nearly 30 years after leaving the factory.
“The car, which has been federalised for use in the U.S., also comes with all its original accessories.
“This includes a custom luggage set that matches the interior, a FACOM tool chest and tool roll, and a TAG Heuer 6000 Chronometer made exclusively for F1 road car owners.
“The appreciation and value of the McLaren F1 is comparable to other landmark automobiles like the Ferrari 250 GTO and can even be likened to timeless artwork housed in the world’s most famous museums,” said Shelby Myers, RM Sotheby’s head of private sales.
“It’s not just a vehicle; it’s a masterpiece.”
A 251mph supercar with 24k gold-plated details has gone on the market for £2.6million.
The 1,500 bhp Koenigsegg Regera has a 5 litre V8 engine with three electronic motors that help produce the stunning power output.
With a ground-breaking power-train configuration tucked beneath a fighter-jet-style carbon-fiber body, it’s one of the quickest automobiles on the planet.
The plug-in hybrid sports car was designed to be a more practical and luxurious alternative to the brand’s regular lightweight lineup.
The Koenigsegg can rocket from 0-60mph in a blistering 2.8 seconds but it is not just its speed and power which is a draw.
The flash 2020 supercar boasts £396,000 worth of stunning modifications and is available for a whopping £2.57million.
There are also gold-plated exterior logos, exhaust tip, filler caps, exterior mirror trim, door opener, and air vents.
And the slick black paint job has been finished off with gold leaf accents.
This particular vehicle heading under the hammer is one of just 85 produced across the globe.
The supercar also has just over 1,500 miles on the clock, as reported by Luxury Auto News.
