NY Gremlins fell to HILL UNITED CHIEFS 1-0 on Friday on the final play of the game. The game was tied at zero in the bottom of the seventh when LENNY VILLALVAZO hit a solo home run to center field.

The pitching was strong on both sides. HILL UNITED CHIEFS pitchers struck out 13, while NY Gremlins sat down 15. MARCO DIAZ earned the win for HILL UNITED CHIEFS. He surrendered three hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out 13 and walking four. Jack Besgrove took the loss for NY Gremlins.

Besgrove went six and one-third innings, giving up one run on two hits, striking out 15 and walking one. Ladislao Malarczuk, Lucio Retamar, and Blaine Milheim each collected one hit for NY Gremlins. Erick Ochoa paced NY Gremlins with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, accumulating four walks for the game. VILLALVAZO went 2-for-3 at the plate as the second baseman led the team with one run batted in.

NY Gremlins will face the New Zealand Black Sox for their next game on Saturday.
