(PORTLAND TRIBUNE) -- A Columbia River Gorge powerlifter, who competes for Team USA and holds a world record, just added another gold medal to her ever-growing trophy case.

Donna Clark won the deadlift at the United States Powerlifting Association’s Nationals last week, June 24-30, in Las Vegas. She hoisted 408 pounds, which was shy of her personal best but enough to secure the victory. Clark also broke her personal best and set an Oregon record in the back squat with 308.6 pounds.

That performance for Clark, who lives in Corbett and trains in Sandy, qualified her to compete in the USPA World Championships this November, also held this year in Vegas.

What can Donna Clark lift?

Donna Clark holds the world record in the deadlift for her classification, 416.6 pounds, which she hoisted while competing for Team USA last fall at the International Powerlifting League Drug-Tested World Competition.
