Mallory Swanson lifts Red Stars over Dash

Olympian Mallory Swanson's goal in the first minute of first-half stoppage time lifted the host Chicago Red Stars over the Houston Dash 1-0 on Saturday in Bridgeview, Ill.

The Red Stars (7-7-2, 23 points) took the lead when Leilanni Nesbeth fed Swanson, who beat Dash goalkeeper Jane Campbell with a left-footed shot to the top left corner from outside the box.
