Sunny breaks along the beaches and little waves too

Hello Friends,

A beautiful morning out there and contrary to expectations, the wind’s offshore. Swell-wise the Botany Bay buoy was detecting 1.6 metres of 9-sec SE energy as of 0900.

This is enough to make deliver soft, waist-ish high wave faces at the point and along the beach. It’s a great morning for all skill levels and from the look of things it should be more or less the same all day. Tide was a modest 1.3 m high at 0920 and will run out to the equally modest 0.6 m low at 1445.

The only wrinkle: there’s an 80% chance of a shower at some point.

Looking ahead, it’s set to be more showery tomorrow with more metre-ish swell and light winds.

Go well and have a top old Sunday!

Weather Situation

A strong high pressure system near Tasmania will move east to the southern Tasman Sea today, causing southeasterly winds to continue to weaken and tend northeasterly. After this, northerly winds are forecast to increase and then shift west to southwesterly on Tuesday or Wednesday as a trough crosses the region.
