PHOTOS: Amid heat wave, Waterfront Blues Fest keeps cool on Day 3

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- Despite the near triple-degree heat, crowds flocked to Day 3 of the 37th annual Waterfront Blues Festival on Saturday.

Just after 2 p.m., a marching band even led a grooving group of people throughout the festival grounds at Tom McCall Waterfront Park.

There are plenty more performances in store as the festivities continue throughout the weekend. Saturday night, festival attendees can also look forward to sets from artists including local singer Lo Steele and Ben Harper & the Innocent Criminals.

All the more reason why the festival is urging people to stay cool and hydrated amid the Portland heat wave.
