Delta flight diverts to New York after passengers consume spoiled food

NEW YORK CITY, New York: Passengers on a Delta flight from Detroit to Amsterdam were served spoiled food this week during in-flight meals, forcing the flight to be diverted to New York.

The redeye left Detroit around 11 p.m. on July 2 and landed in New York at 4 a.m. "after reports that a portion of the Main Cabin in-flight meal service was spoiled," a Delta spokesperson said in a statement.
