A man has been stabbed to death in a fatal attack ‘inside a barber shop’ in North London

Photos from the scene show police have cordoned off the area in Walthamstow, with reports suggesting the stabbing took place in a shop on Lea Bridge Road, between Bakers Arms and Vicarage Road.

Police have confirmed the victim was in his 30s and died as the result of stab wounds sustained in the attack.

Authorities were called to the shop just before 3pm, and paramedics tried to save the man’s life, but he died at the scene.

Further details of the incident have not yet been released to the public.

Stella Creasy, MP for Walthamstow, tweeted yesterday afternoon that there had been an attack on Lea Bridge Road, between Bakers Arms and Vicarage Road.

She has since also said that a young man had died in what she described as a ‘heinous attack.

Creasy wrote: ‘If you have any information on the reason for this heinous attack, please come forward.

‘We can only stop the cycle of violence this represents together by standing against those who perpetrate it.

‘Crime stoppers is 0800 555 111 and completely confidential.’

It follows just days after a knifeman went on a rampage in Feltham, west London, stabbing three people in two attacks just minutes apart.

Early reports indicated that injuries sustained by two of the victims of those attacks were thought to be life threatening.

Scotland Yard has since said all three men were in a non-life-threatening condition and had been treated for their injuries.

The attack is not thought to have been terror-related nor directed at polling day activity, having taken place on the day of the recent election.
