Full list of items being AXED from McDonald’s menu within days including ‘best McFlurry of all time’

MCDONALD’S is shaking up its menu in a matter of days – but it means some popular items will be dropped.

The fast food chain is launching a limited edition birthday-themed range on July 17 to mark its 50th year in the UK.

Foodies will be able to get their hands on three returning burgers and three new desserts including a Milkybar Raspberry Ripple McFlurry.

But the arrival of the new menu means some items currently on offer will have to make way.

This is because McDonald’s regularly freshens up its menu and while some classics stay, others face the chop.

Eight items were added to menus in May, but six will be dropped from July 16 and replaced by the 50-year anniversary range.

The Chicken Sharebox and 9 Chicken Select Sharebox will stay on menus for now.

This is the list of items which will no longer be available to buy from July 17:

  • The Hat Trick £5.89 or Medium Meal – £7.69
  • Mozzarella Bites with a Rich Tomato Dip – £2.39
  • Skittles McFlurry – £2.19
  • Iced Latte – £2.49
  • Galaxy Caramel McFlurry – £2.19
  • Galaxy Chocolate and Raspberry Pie – £1.99

Some fast food fans will no doubt be gutted to hear the six items are being axed from menus in days, particularly the Skittles McFlurry.

Customers have come to love the soft swirl ice cream flavour sprinkled with chewy Skittles fudge pieces and sugary pearls.

Posting on X, one branded the dessert “fire”, adding that it “needs to be a regular on the menu”.

Another said: “The skittles McFlurry is so slay.”

A third chimed in: “Skittles McFlurry has got to be the best McFlurry of all time.”

It comes after McDonald’s announced it would be making a major change to its Happy Meal for the first time in years.

The home of the Big Mac exclusively revealed to The Sun in May it was adding four new menu items to the kids meal option.

However, the change was only made across selected restaurants in Ireland and the North West of the UK.

It will involve 187 restaurants in Cheshire, Cumbria, Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Merseyside, North Yorkshire, and the Republic of Ireland.

The new items hit menus on May 29 and will be available to buy for 14 weeks.

HOW TO SAVE MONEY AT MCDONALD’S

You can actually end up being charged more solely based on the McDonald’s restaurant you choose.

Research by The Sun found a Big Mac meal can be up to 30p cheaper at restaurants just two miles apart from each other.

Meanwhile, you can pick up a Big Mac and fries for just £2.99 by filling in a feedback survey found on any old McDonald’s receipt.

The receipt should come with a 12-digit code which you can enter into the Food for Thought website alongside your submitted survey.

You’ll then receive a five-digit code which is your voucher for the £2.99 offer.

Make sure you check out all the various apps and platforms if you’re ordering McDonald’s to your home too.

Our research found some can charge up to £1.20 more than others.

NHS workers can get a 20% discount at McDonald’s once a week too – you just have to order by the McDonald’s app.

Remember, you can find your nearest McDonald’s branch by using the locator tool on its website.

In other McDonald’s news, customers have just days left to grab free prizes through the fast food chain’s Surprize Fries game.

The game closed on July 2, but you still have until July 9 to claim any prizes won.
