Margot Robbie Is Reportedly Pregnant!
The actress and her husband Tom Ackerley are expecting their first child, according to ‘People.’
It looks like Barbie is getting her very own mini-me. Per People, congratulations are in order for Margot Robbie, who is reportedly pregnant. According to multiple sources that spoke to the outlet Sunday, the actress and her husband Tom Ackerley are expecting their first child. Though representatives for the couple have not yet confirmed the news, it seems as though Barbie and Ken’s real-life Dreamhouse might be getting one room bigger. Cute!
The couple, both 34, met back in 2013 while filming Suite Française in somewhat of a Hollywood fairytale: Robbie was starring in the film, while Ackerley was the movie’s assistant director. They remained friends and founded the production company LuckyChap together, alongside Robbie’s childhood friend Sophia Kerr and Josey McNamara, which resulted in I, Tonya, Birds of Prey, and of course, Barbie. After a slow-burn crush, Robbie and Ackerley began dating later in 2014. “I was the ultimate single gal. The idea of relationships made me want to vomit,” she told Vogue in 2016 of their friends-to-lovers arc. “And then this crept up on me.” After dating for a few years, they married in December 2016 in a small ceremony in Byron Bay.
Previously, Robbie has been candid regarding her frustration with societal expectations around motherhood. “I got married, and the first question in almost every interview is, ‘Babies? When are you having one?’” she said in a 2019 interview with RadioTimes. “I’m so angry that there’s this social contract. You’re married, now have a baby. Don’t presume. I’ll do what I’m going to do.” True to her word, it sounds like she and her husband are planning their family when the timing is right for them.
