‘Call Ofcom’ say Love Island fans as they fear for Nicole after meltdown and slam bosses for Movie Night clip

LOVE Island fans have threatened to call Ofcom after seeing Nicole erupting at Ciaran during Movie Night.

The pair have been coupled up for most of the series and they’ve told each other “I love you”.

But they hit the rocks when his heart raced the most for Grace Jackson during the sexy dancing challenge.

Love Island then threw a cat among the pigeons by signing up bombshell Ellie who knew Ciaran from back home.

She told Nicole about their flirty messages over Snapchat and insisted they went on “for months”.

Last night, Nicole was seen shouting and swearing at Ciaran as she watched some of the scenes back and his explosive row with Ellie.

Stunned viewers have accused the show of triggering Nicole and threatened to call telly watchdog Ofcom.

One said: “Ths cannot be good for her mental health and the producers need to step in. It’s not good telly.”

A second insisted: “I think producers need to pull Nicole out. Showing clips has made her insecurity worse. It’s not healthy relationship. She needs some help not more things winding her up.”

Another said: “Can you guys in the UK tell Ofcom to tell Love Island producers to get Nicole out? The girl is literally shaking and God knows what else is happening in her mind. Not healthy at all for her to be in #LoveIsland.”

One more insisted: “If a man was behaving like Nicole he would be accused of coercive control. How she is treating him is not ok” as one more said: “I’m going on Ofcom tonight, Nicole needs to be out.”

Love Island has been approached for comment.

Show bosses revealed last year that counselling is provided for islanders during the series and after they leave the villa.

They are also given training on mutually respectful behaviour in relationships, behaviour patterns associated with controlling and coercive behaviour and language around disability, sexuality, race and ethnicity, and microaggressions, before they meet their fellow Islanders.

The show came under fire earlier on in the series over Jess White’s behaviour towards Harriett Blackmore which received 400 complaints to Ofcom.

Many felt the retail manager was ‘bullying’ the dancer – who ended up getting the boot.

Faye Winter was the most complained about contestant in 2020 when received 25000 Ofcom complaints following a row with Teddy Soares.

Around 4,330 of those complaints were made after Faye received a postcard from Casa Amor, which appeared to show Teddy kissing a bombshell in a challenge.

But a whopping 24,763 complaints flooded in when Faye came face-to-face with Teddy again.

Faye’s shocking outburst even sparked a reaction from male domestic abuse charity ManKind Inititive, who branded her ‘unacceptable’.
