‘You’re losing viewers’ rage EastEnders fans as BBC soap is caught up in more scheduling chaos
EASTENDERS is diverging from its usual programming this week in a schedule shake-up.
The soap’s timeslot has been impacted while UEFA Euro coverage features on BBC One’s in the evening.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, the show has revealed its timetable for the coming week – including one day where it’s off screens.
On Monday (July 8), viewers will be getting their Albert Square fix at the regular time of 7.30pm, but on BBC Two instead.
However, there will be no episode shown on Tuesday (July 9), with the slot filled by Match of the Day Live: UEFA Euro 2024.
On Wednesday (July 10), the soap returns to business as usual with the episode being aired at 7.30pm on BBC One.
As for Thursday (July 11), EastEnders will again be back on the flagship channel, but with double episodes at 8.15pm and 8.45pm, respectively.
Following a string of previous schedule shake-ups, viewers have not been happy with the changes.
Writing on X, one raged: “I have given up trying to record or watch because I never know what’s going on anymore!
I can’t even remember where I was up to to try and catch up anywhere. You’re losing viewers.”
Another commented: “Are we sure now… Won’t all of a sudden be on BBC3 without warning?!”
While a third remarked: “Can we actually trust this after Thursday when it was moved to bbc3 without any warnings.”
Previous disruption at the end of June saw almost all of EastEnders‘ episodes have aired on BBC Two that week.
Each episode also ended up airing a day after they were originally scheduled.
Recent storylines in the BBC soap include the arrival of Stevie Mitchell’s (Alan Ford) secret family.
The extended Mitchell clan includes son Teddy (Roland Manookian), as well as Teddy’s sons Harry (Elijah Holloway) and Barney (Lewis Bridgeman).
