Joe Swash reveals real reason he’s sleeping in separate bedroom to Stacey Solomon and the ‘only time they bicker’
JOE Swash has exclusively revealed the real reason he sleeps in a separate bed to wife Stacey Solomon.
The ex EastEnders actor opened up to The Sun at the Wimbledon championships after the pair’s night-time habits were put under the spotlight recently.
Stacey, 34, and Joe, 42, live in their Essex countryside pad, Pickle Cottage, with their kids.
The pair share three children – Belle, Rex and Rose – together while Stacey has Leighton and Zach from previous relationships.
Joe told how it is their “busy” schedule which sees them bunking down with their kids and not each other.
He said: “The thing is, we are so busy.
“We always try to make it that one of us is always working and one of us is home with the kids.
“So when Stacey is working and needs to get up early, I’ll take Belle and go into Rex’s room just so if she wakes up, it doesn’t have to keep the rest of the house awake.
“And vice versa. So if I’m working, Stacey will have baby Belle. The good news is she should start sleeping through soon, so we will be back to normal then… hopefully.”
It came after we reported how Stacey first pondered splitting her bedroom in two back in April.
I’m A Celeb star Joe also admitted the main reason the pair – who have been married for two years – lock horns.
He added to us: “The only time Stacey and I ever bicker is because we are on top of each other, I’m in her way, she’s in my way, whatever whatever – so, I can see why [people do sleep in different rooms permanently] but for me, there’s nothing better than coming home to a full house, having Stacey and the kids there, the dogs and the ducks.
“I love our set up and wouldn’t want it any other way so I can’t wait for us to come back together.
“Although if you ask Stacey this question, she would probably have to planning permission to build a new house.”
He spoke to The Sun at the Vodafone suite at Wimbledon, with the company being the official Connectivity Partner for The Championships.

STACEY Solomon splashed out a massive £1.2million on Pickle Cottage - and Joe Swash didn't put in a penny.
She solely stumped up the cash for their Tudor-style Essex property, which is set in 2.5 acres and boasts an outdoor swimming pool.
The former X Factor star and Joe live there with Zachary, Leighton, Rex, Rose, and Belle.
It’s not known why Stacey went alone, as ex-EastEnders actor Joe is reportedly worth over £1million, but has also been made bankrupt twice in 2009 and 2013.
Shrewd Stacey has shown she’s a dab hand at running a wide range of successful businesses including TV, books, clothing and homeware ranges.
Her main firm Key Map Entertainments is worth just shy of £3million – and she’s also branched out into cosmetics.
The former X Factor contestant registered the company Belle & Rose Ltd, named after her youngest two daughters.
Joe added: “Today, I’ll a couple of Pimms, a few glasses of champagne – the problem is Stacey’s working so I got to get back for the kids, so I can’t get too drunk.
“Just sensibly drunk.”
The pair moved into their plush pad in March 2021 and Stacey gave a glimpse of the sleeping space late last year.
She also dazzled fans as she showcased their epic free-standing bathtub in the centre of the sleeping space.
DIY queen Stacey was also quick to showcase her transformation of their daughters’ sleeping space.
