I’m a WAG & I’m trolled for shopping at Asda & Home Bargains… but people also hate it when I show off my flash lifestyle

A FOOTBALLER’S wife has revealed that she is trolled for shopping at Asda, whilst also being criticised for showing off her lavish lifestyle.

Abbie Guy is the wife of Carlisle United Midfielder Callum Guy, and the pair share two children, Ava and George.

She often shares insights into her life as a WAG on social media and recently opened up about her struggles with stereotypes.

WAG is an acronym for wives and girlfriends, and refers to the partners of professional football players.

Some of the most notable WAGs include David Beckham‘s wife Victoria, Ashley Cole‘s ex-wife Cheryl and Wayne Rooney‘s wife Colleen.

WAGs are known for living flash lifestyles but Abbie said that if she shows off anything expensive, she is trolled for being “pretentious and not relatable”.

However, she added that if she shares details of her day-to-day life, which includes shopping trips to Home Bargains and Asda, trolls say that her husband must be “broke”.

Taking to TikTok, the mum of two said: “I am extremely lucky that I get to be a stay at home mum, whilst my husband’s wages pay for us all.

“I don’t get why people care where I do my food shop, or where I get my clothes from.”

Abbie added that she shouldn’t have to justify herself to anybody, and said that it doesn’t matter where she buys things from.

Hitting back at trolls who have slammed her for driving a Peugeot, the stay-at-home-mum said: “I don’t drive a Peugeot but so what if I did?

“It’s not something you should judge others on.”

She added: “If you’re shopping in Waitrose or driving a Range Rover, that’s not going to make you a nicer person.

“And that’s what matters, so I will continue to to stay grateful forever.”

Abbie’s video, which was posted under the username @abbieguy, has gone viral, racking up 191,000 views on the view sharing platform.

TikTok users raced to the comments section to share their thoughts, with many agreeing with Abbie’s statement.
