Ex-Trump aide reveals that 'he is afraid of Vice President Harris'

As the debate continues about whether President Joe Biden should remain on the Democratic ticket, the hosts of "The View" discussed why some continue to support the Democratic nominee.

Sunny Hostin agreed that Biden wasn't the man he was during the eight years he served under President Barack Obama. However, she doesn't worry about Biden because of Vice President Kamala Harris.

"They say behind every great man is a great woman. Kamala Harris as Ana [Navarro] said, is prepared. She's ready. She's presidential."

After showing a clip of Harris over the weekend, Hostin said that it's clear that Harris is smart and capable. Her concern is that after Hillary Clinton was defeated in 2016, she fears the country isn't willing to elect a Black woman.

"One more thing that I will say is that Republicans are clearly scared about Kamala Harris," Hostin continued.

Navarro said that no one is saying that Biden isn't "slower" than he was in 2020, and even Biden himself will admit it.

But that's when former Trump White House aide Alyssa Farah Griffin, who knows the ex-president firsthand, says Biden "can't litigate the case against Trump the way that we saw the vice president there. That is the difference."

"There's a reason Donald Trump isn't out there shouting about the debate. He knows that Joe Biden will lose to him. He is afraid of Vice President Harris," Griffin continued.

Whoopi Goldberg continued by saying that as someone who has aged, she understands how things change.

However, "It doesn't matter what we say should be happening. It's going to come down to one or the other. It's that simple, and it is not up to us. It is not up to the media. It is up to you all. You know, as I keep saying, do you want the guy whose teeth fall out when he talks and maybe his hair isn't on as secure, or do you want the guy who's going to take your family, whatever your background is, and send them to another country because he doesn't like who you are? That's what it comes down to. So, you know, it's in our hands."

Trump, meanwhile, baselessly told his supporters that Biden is dropping out of the race in a fundraising email on Monday.
