Kari Lake claims '80 percent of the people are with us' as every poll shows her losing

Arizona Senate candidate Kari Lake believes she has the support of 80% of voters despite losing in every recent poll.

Right-winger Ben Harnwell spoke to Lake Monday while guest-hosting the War Room podcast for imprisoned criminal Steve Bannon.

"It's good to be on with the posse this morning," Lake began. "I've added Steve Bannon to my prayer list every day. And I know he's holding strong behind bars where he shouldn't be, but we're just praying for him. He's truly a hero of ours."

Lake also had a distorted view of her election chances.

"This state is so incredible, Ben," she told Harwell. "I don't know if you've been to Arizona, but it's just a very patriotic state."

"We're much more united as a country than the fake news is letting on," she continued. "They have to have us fighting each other in order for their message to resonate."

"And once you realize that we're united, I believe 75, 80% of the people are with us."

According to 538, Lake has trailed opponent Ruben Gallego (D) in every poll since March.

Lake ended the interview with more praise for Bannon.

"As I said to Steve the last time I talked to him, if you're not being indicted, deposed, arrested, jailed, canceled, you know, if you're not knocking doors, if you're not making phone calls, if you're not walking the neighborhood talking about what's happening in the world, getting people registered to vote, you're not doing enough," she insisted.

"I have absolute faith that God placed us here for this moment," she added. "God placed Steve Bannon here for this moment."
