Furious Love Island fans work out ‘real reason’ Uma QUIT show – saying ‘I’m fuming for her’
LOVE Island fans are seething at the news Uma Jammeh has quit the show – but they think they know why.
Uma, 23, has dramatically walked out of the villa after Wil Anderson, also 23, was dumped in scenes yet to be aired.
The Sun exclusively revealed that Wil was given the boot in a shock twist following the arrival of a new bombshell.
Reuben Collins had entered the villa and swiped Uma from Wil, which left him single and immediately dumped from the island.
But in a move that show bosses were not expecting, Uma then decided to walk.
Although the drama is yet to unfold before Love Island viewers’ eyes, fans have been busy discussing it online.
They are now convinced they have worked out ‘the real reason’ why Uma has quit the ITV2 reality show.
Despite exploding into a furious row with Wil in Sunday night’s episode, some believe Uma is a “slow burner” and does not want to get to know anyone else.
Writing on Reddit, one fan said: “Uma baby… you could literally have any man in the world. I’m not even trying to be mean but Wilfred ain’t s*** next to you.
“But tbh… she is a slow burner and after last night I doubt she’d be in the mood to get to know new people.”
Another added: “If she left because she knew she wouldn’t and didn’t feel like getting to know other people then fine! but I am hoping and PRAYING that she didn’t do this just to be with him.
“Hopefully she realises that just because she’s a slow burner doesn’t mean she has to settle and put up with being mistreated out of fear of not finding someone else she likes.”
A third said: “Love island didn’t seem to be the right fit for Uma to be honest. I’ve a strong feeling she wanted to leave because she is over it all and can’t see herself with someone else.”
And someone else chimed: “If she leaves because she knows she isn’t feeling it with the new guy and knows she won’t with any new guy, that’s ok.
“If she leaves because Wil is the one for her…..lol.”
The Sun exclusively revealed earlier today that one islander had quit the show after the exit of her partner.
We have since revealed it was Uma, following the departure of Wil.
Love Island series 11 - feuds in the villa
No edition of Love Island is complete without its fair share of drama - and series 11 is no different. Here's a look at some of the most fiery feuds so far.
- Joey Essex & Samantha Kenny: Samantha entered the villa on Day 1 and was initially coupled with Sam Taylor. However, Samantha was ‘stolen’ by Joey, the first bombshell of series 11. She was ‘dumped’ on Day 16 – with the make-up artist saying she had been brutally snubbed by Joey in the villa – although it never made it to air.
- Matilda Draper & Jess White: While Matilda arrived as a bombshell on Day 12, Jess was part of the original line-up. The two clashed in Casa Amor, over Jess’ frustration that Matilda was talking to new hunk Hugo Godfroy – who Jess previously snogged.
- Harriet Blackmore & Jess White: The two women were caught up in a love triangle for much of their time on the programme. The pair were fighting over Ronnie Vint, 27, from Greenwich, who wound up being dumped alongside Harriett.
Their departure scenes have not yet aired, but it follows Trey Norman and Ellie Jackson leaving the Majorcan villa following a very dramatic Movie Night.
A source said: “The villa is so full that people are sleeping on the day beds.
“So producers decided it was a good idea to trim the fat and called another dumping soon after Movie Night.
“What they were not expecting was the partner of the individual axed wanting to leave.
“That rarely ever happens. And the person was one of the most popular in the villa.
“There are also more bombshells on the way that they could have had a better connection with.”
Uma and Wil had endured a turbulent few days in the villa, with fans accusing him of being “a villain” and gaslighting her.
They had come under strain during Casa Amor when Wil met bomsbshell Lucy. He had told the petite blonde – who looks nothing like Uma – that she was his type as they snogged in the Hideaway.
Uma was then left heartbroken after she was shown clips of Wil in Casa Amor with Lucy during Movie Night.
He also asked Lucy to stay in his bed, contradicting the story he had told Uma upon her return from Cas
A tearful Uma was shown crying as she screamed at Wil last night: “You f****** embarrassed me, and you embarrassed yourself, you f****** loser.”
