Fatal crash in New Lebanon following drag race

State Police say they responded to a Lebanon Valley Speedway for a fatal crash on Sunday.

NEW LEBANON, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- State Police say they responded to a Lebanon Valley Speedway for a fatal crash on Sunday. William Janke, 57, of Newburgh, lost control of his vehicle and struck a barrier during a sanctioned drag race.

Janke was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead on the scene, according to police.
