While we are still a few weeks away from the 2024 Paris Olympics, we now know which 12 teams will actually compete for a chance to win gold.
Seven teams, including USA and Canada, qualified for the 2024 Olympics in Paris based on their performance at the 2023 FIBA World Cup. France earned qualification as a host nation, bumping that number up to eight.
24 additional countries competed for the final spots in Olympic competition during four qualifying tournaments. The winners were Spain, Greece, Brazil, and Puerto Rico and all will advance to play during the Olympics.
Some of the most notable nations who will not compete in Paris include Latvia, Argentina, Lithuania, Slovenia, Italy, and Poland.
Team USA enters the tournament as the favorite to win it all, but the odds suggest other teams are close than you might think. The games begin July 27 and extend until August 10. Here we go!
