Marin City man accused in Sausalito store robbery

Marin County sheriff’s Lt. Jesse Klinge said that the suspect stole cash from a customer after the victim received his change.

A suspect was arrested for allegedly assaulting and robbing a Sausalito grocery store customer.

This incident was reported around 11 p.m. Saturday at the New Bait Shop Market & Deli on Gate 6 Road.

Marin County sheriff’s Lt. Jesse Klinge said that the suspect stole cash from a customer after the victim received his change. Klinge said that the victim was wearing a motorcycle helmet and was not hurt in the altercation.

Christopher Blakemore, 55, of Marin City was arrested on suspicion of robbery. He was booked into the Marin County Jail where his bail was set at $75,000, according to jail records.
