NEW YORK (PIX11) -- Interested in owning your very own authentic limited edition New York City street sign?

The New York City Department of Transportation has launched monthly 'sign drops', featuring signs for iconic New York City streets, commemorations of famous New Yorkers, celebrations of special occasions, and other custom releases.

“Now you can own an official piece of New York City: authentic commemorative street signs hand made by DOT,” said NYC DOT Commissioner Ydanis Rodriguez. “Our monthly sign drops will allow all who love New York City to celebrate the people, places, and special occasions that make this the greatest city in the world.

In June, the NYC DOT released 50 hand made signs featuring Christopher Street/Stonewall Place to commemorate Pride Month. The signs reportedly sold out in two hours.

The next batch of limited signs will drop at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 9. The NYC DOT has kept the theme of the new signs under wraps.

Signs are sold online for $75 each and are available one per customer. Proceeds will benefit New York City's general fund.
