Watch moment distraught F1 star Lando Norris’ interview is interrupted by Hollywood stars filming ‘fake interviews’

LANDO NORRIS cut a distraught figure following the British Grand Prix, but eagle-eyed fans did not miss a bizarre situation behind him during his post-race interview.

McLaren ace Norris had showed good pace over the weekend at Silverstone and even led the race for a large portion of it.

However, a dodgy pit stop in changeable conditions ended up leaving him behind eventual record-breaking race-winner Lewis Hamilton upon his pit lane exit, before world championship leader Max Verstappen also overtook him.

Following the race, the 24-year-old was visibly unhappy with the result despite achieving a podium.

But during his gloomy interview in the media zone, Norris was interrupted by the appearances of Brad Pitt and Damson Idris.

The pair are starring in the motorsport’s new film – suitably named F1 – which is being released in 2025.

Part of the movie’s £235million production budget has been used to film scenes at live F1 events including Silverstone both this year and last year.

And it appears one such scene took place in the media pen following the race.

Fans spotted Pitt, 60, walking behind Norris during his interview in a white jumpsuit, which is the colour of his team Apex in the film.

Later on in Norris’ interview Idris, 32, was similarly spotted behind the Brit.

Reacting to the clip, one fan said: “Yeah it’s a really bizarre/special situation.”

A second said: “I just know that if these scenes make the final cut, I will get stared at for laughing in the cinema.”

A third said: “Why is this so funny.”

Another said: “Nah imagine them speaking about getting pole or winning the race next to real drivers like.”

A fifth added: “It’s like watching a movie where the extras are doing way too much.”

Norris was not the only star who had his interview “crashed” by Pitt and Co’s fake interviews, with Sergio Perez also being gatecrashed by Pitt in the background.

Though a hilarious reaction from Fernando Alonso, who slowly turned his head after Pitt walked past left many fans in stitches.

With Silverstone marking the end of a triple-header, the next F1 race is now not until Hungary on July 21.
